Perfect Circle

Project belonging to the XXII Cerveira International Art Biennial, with the theme We Must Take Action!
Of a total of 1164 works in competition, 96 were selected, with Perfect Circle being one of the chosen.
Of these selected works, Perfect Circle also won the Acquisition Prize, announced on the opening day of the exhibition.

"Perfect Circle" begins with a circular sheet of glass, in shades of blue, on a plinth.
At the opening of the exhibition, a performer/visitor “accidentally” touches the glass, causing it to fall and break.
The shattered glass remains on the floor during the exhibition.
In one corner, there will be a broom, a shovel and a bucket.
A perfect world is a fragile illusion. Still broken, it continues, in another format.

"Perfect Circle" começa por ser uma lâmina de vidro, em forma circular, em tons de azul, sobre um plinto.
Na inauguração da exposição, um performer/visitante “acidentalmente” toca no vidro, fazendo-o cair e partir-se.
O vidro estilhaçado mantem-se pelo pavimento durante a exposição.
Num canto, haverá uma vassoura, uma pá e um balde.
Um mundo perfeito é uma frágil ilusão. Ainda quebrado, prossegue, num outro formato.
